Our Team

Justin Smith is founder and Principal of Relequity Enterprises and Advisory Services. He is a passionate Commercial Real Estate Investment & Development professional. He drives all phases of the program & project development process.  As a resident of the California Bay Area, Justin has considerable experience in the Western and Mid-Western markets including CA, HI, CO, ID and TX.

With over 20 years of leadership experience in Project Development, Project and Construction Management, Justin takes pride in having delivered Student Housing, Workforce and Community housing projects varying from Type 1 to Type 5. Justin has worked with multiple national and international development and project management firms.

He serves on the Board of African American Real Estate Professionals  Bay Area and the San Francisco ULI District Council. Justin is also enjoys teaching at multiple Community Colleges in the Bay Area. Justin received a Bachelor of Science at California Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo and an MBA in Investment Finance at The Ohio State University.

Oyeyinka Oyelaran

Oyeyinka is a dedicated real estate professional with a passion for asset management, investment management, development, and capital markets. Based in the California Bay Area, Oyeyinka has extensive experience across life sciences, office, industrial, and multifamily properties nationwide.


With over 18 years of leadership experience, Oyeyinka has managed portfolios exceeding $1.5 billion and led over $1 billion in debt and equity transactions, including ground-up developments and capital structuring. He has held senior roles at Wareham Property Group, PeerStreet, Newmark, and Deutsche Bank, where he built a track record of delivering value through due diligence, debt restructuring, JV structuring, and strategic acquisitions. His expertise includes capital stack assembly, financial analysis, investor relations and strategy.

Oyeyinka is an active member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI), African American Real Estate Professionals (AAREP) Bay Area, and Black Venture Capital Institute, where he serves in leadership roles. He holds an MBA in Real Estate, Corporate Finance and Sustainability from the University of North Carolina’s Kenan-Flagler Business School.
